MMC Benefits Handbook
Adding a Domestic Partner
You may add a domestic partner to certain benefit plans if your domestic partner meets the plans' criteria. If you add a domestic partner, you may need to review and compare the benefit plans that are available to you. On this page, you will find information about benefits coverage and election changes that may be helpful to you, as an active eligible US employee, and your eligible family members.
Marsh McLennan (Company) voluntarily makes coverage available to domestic partners consistent with the treatment of federally recognized spouses to the extent permitted by law. Note though, domestic partners are not treated as federally recognized spouses under the Internal Revenue Code.
In this section, references to Marsh McLennan mean Marsh & McLennan Companies.
