Your covered family member becoming eligible for government insurance such as by joining the military or by being entitled to Medicare, is considered a qualified change in status. This means that you can change certain before-tax benefits without waiting until the next Annual Enrollment period. In addition, you may be required to make certain changes to your coverage.

The Company reserves the right to ask you for proof of the qualified family status change. Failure to provide such proof within the timeframe specified may result in a loss of coverage and you may be required to pay for any services that you and your family members used while ineligible for coverage.
